A Fabulous Edwardian Novelty Silver String Box

1900 - 1920
Description

A rare and desirable item of novelty Edwardian silver. This is a superb two part string box in the form of an apple. The pull off lid has an aperture for the string to emerge though the stalk. The body is of naturalistic form, with realistic shaping. Silver string boxes are always in demand, due to their scarcity. A wonderful decorative and practical piece. Dimensions below.
