Massey of London, Regency Bracket Clock

Description

A very good Regency mahogany bracket clock, by Massey of London.

The twin fusee, 8 day, movement with original anchor escapement striking the hours on a bell, with strike/strike silent facility and pull repeat.

The case of break arch form, with circular convex painted dial, with roman numerals to the circumference.

Original brass fish scale fretwork to the lower quarters and the sides.

The rear having a break arched glazed door revealing the elegantly peripherally engraved movement.

The extremely well figured mahogany case with a broken arch brass bound single pad top, with carry handle.

The clock standing on brass ogee bracket feet.

An elegant well proportioned clock with wonderfully figured mahogany case and original colour and patina.
