Quiet Street Antiques of Bath has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
This scent bottle was part of a private collection started back in the 1990's.
The spherical gilt metal tops to each end come off to access the scent reservoirs inside. One stopper unscrews, the other has a push-button hinged action. The glass trunk is cut in the form of diamond and triangular shapes.
