Aramis Antiques has dated this piece to the 1880s.
This maker was active between 1800 and 1900, hence the date to 1880 though they could have been made a little earlier. The finials are modelled with three plumes above a coronet, leading to plain shafts with pointed ends. One is slightly longer than the other and slightly curved at the tip, possibly due to more frequent use. They have a good weight and are tactile, and the condition is good for their age. Very pleasing and still good for the job!
