Set of 8 Edwardian Mahogany Dining Chairs

This Set of 8 Edwardian mahogany dining chairs were made circa 1900

Made in a striking style with the lattice backs, waisted shaped seats covered in the original tan hide leather.

Each seat has been secured with fine brass capped studs, that only secure the leather but also add another dimension to how attractive they are.

The chairs have fluted legs to the front and rear.

These chairs were probably originally used in a liner’s saloon.

We purchased this set of Edwardian chairs near to Southampton, the home to the world’s liners in the heyday of the Liners.

Much of the liners redundant furniture was sold locally and so it is not unusual to source items off the great liners in this area. (Nowadays, it is not quite so easy to find as over the years the items have gone to market and now spread around the globe)
