Antique Furniture 19thc Yew Wood Lacemakers Stool With Turned Legs. English C1800-20.

This beautiful little stool has been used by the lacemaker, as you can see by all the vice marks underneath (see picture) ....it is so she has her work closer to her eyes for the intricate work in lacemaking...the stool is made from yew and has finely turned legs which help us to date it to the first quarter of the 19thc.....in excellent condition with a fine colour that you always find with patinated yew...
