Gennady Korolev Honored artist of the RSFSR. People''s artist of the Russian Federation (1994).
Ph. D., Professor (1965).
In 1945 he graduated from the Moscow art Institute. V. I. Surikov. Studied with S. V. Gerasimov, V. V. Pochitalova, N. X. Maximov.
In 1950 he graduated from graduate school with a scientific degree of candidate of art criticism.
He taught at the Moscow state art Institute
