Description

Wares in this Victorian silver plated basket weave are always highly sought-after and when something exceptional like this honey dish and cover comes along, it's really quite a treat.

On the very top sits a large bee sitting on a branch and leaf, the bee having gilded (gold) highlights. The lid is removed to reveal the gilded dish on the interior to protect the silver from the honey.

Dating to the late Victorian era, around 1880, it comes to you in excellent condition. Measures 5" tall with a base diameter measuring 5" and 6 1/2" handle to handle.
