Description

A wonderful antique Swedish Biedermeier style partners desk in satin birch, dating from around the 1900-1910 period.

The quality is superb, this is extremely well built and is beautifully designed. It is finished identically front and back, each side has two doors and a central door. One side contains two deeper cabinets with shelves and internal drawers, the other side has two slightly less deep cabinets both with shelves.

There is beautiful detail throughout, with inlaid floral marquetry, a gadrooned top edge and sturdy yet elegant sabre legs. The top is polished, with lovely grain patterns and a gorgeous patina.

We have had this re-polished to a high standard, the condition is excellent for its age. The top comes of and this desk breaks down into three main pieces for transport, the central drawers and supporting structure also come apart.

We have the matching desk chair that came with this, it is listed under our other items for sale in case someone wants one without the other.
