Victorian Brass Lion's Foot Doorstop

Description

Circa 1900 a heavy brass lion's foot doorstop, with the original lead weight.

It measures 36cm in height, it is 10cm at the widest part and approximately 9.5cm deep. The quality of the casting shows in the details on the handle and the claws on the foot.

The doorstop weighs 2.2kgs, and it has been professionally polished but not lacquered. The slight lean backwards is not as obvious as may appear in the images and the handle is solid and secure.
