Pair of Oak Art Nouveau Side Cabinets C.1900

1900 - 1920
Description

Superb pair of Art Nouveau side cabinets in oak c.1900. Solid oak tops with moulded edges, overhanging at each side and supported on shaped and pierced brackets front and rear. Over two door cupboards, each fitted with a single shelf inside. Curving lower edges to the doors and door panels and curved aprons above an open shelf in the base. Pierced galleries at the front featuring a carved leaf detail repeated at the tops of the front styles. Note how the organic theme is continued in the original pierced brass escutcheons. Moulded front stiles and unusually shaped front feet. Oak panelled sides, shelves and backboards. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
