Despite this being a departure from my usual field of specialty, I fell in love with this piece when I saw it and was determined to give it the TLC it deserved. It is powered by a clockwork movement which I was able to restore.This Polyphon is continental in origin. The case is crafted from solid Walnut, very heavy well built. It also comes with over 30 disks which play a variety of delightful tunes.The sound is quite mesmerising and has surprising clarity for something of this age. When it plays one is almost transported back in time to when this would be at the heart of family entertainment.
