Hi
I have for sale an 1880s fusee dial clock with an 8'' dial in a mahogany case and retailed by the famous Maple & Co of London.
Maple & Co is a famous retailer of very fine clocks and sold in all major retail shops including Harrods.
This clock has just had the movement fully restored with a new spring added by myself so in great running order.
The Case
The case is in solid mahogany and stands 11'' in width x 6'' in depth. It is in beautiful original condition well waxed and polished over the years a really nice colour.
The clock has an opening side and bottom door the bottom door both close perfectly.
To the top of the clock is the steel hanging bracket.
The Dial
The dial is in original condition 8” across painted white with Roman numerals and covered by glass in a heavy brass bezel.
The Movement
The movement is an eight-day time-only fusee it is a thick plated heavy built movement with thick pillars very fine crutch a sign of a top-quality old move
...ment.
The movement has just been ultra sonics cleaned new spring added and is running strong keeping good time over the eight days.
The fusee is run via new gut; she still retains the original pendulum/key.
Overall a very nice original unplayed with clock in original condition looking great on the wall.
If you require any more information or pictures please ask you are welcome to come and view the clock or I can send a direct WhatsApp film of the clock running if desired, as with all my clocks they will leave with a back-to-base 3-month guarantee and should you need your clock serviced in the future, of course, this would be done heavily discounted by myself, I''m always happy to buy one of my clocks back in the future should you wish to PX or simply sell on.
I will post or might even deliver for the price of fuel.
