Scottish Georgian Mahogany Longcase Clock Circa 1795

Description

Fine quality Scottish Georgian highly figured mahogany longcase clock with eight day striking and moon phase movement by Mitchell & Son of Gorbals (Glasgow). Beautifully fretted swan neck cornice to hood. Cross-banding to main door and base. The case in superb condition. The movement in perfect full working order having just been fully overhauled. Great rich colour with fine waxed patina. Comes with all keys. A very handsome clock.

Size; 87" high, 23" wide at cornice, 10" deep.
