Georgian Antique Mahogany Bureau Bookcase

An impressive Georgian antique mahogany two stage bureau bookcase with glazed top. The antique mahogany bureau bookcase has two panelled glass cupboard doors to the top, which open to reveal an adjustable three tiered shelved interior, just below the shelves are four small drawers for extra storage space. To the base of the antique mahogany bureau is a fall front that opens to reveal a fitted interior which includes ten drawers, five pigeon holes and two envelope holders. Below the fall front are two short over three long drawers, each with brass handles. Raised on bracket feet.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches and stains to the drawer fronts, interior and fall front (pictured). There are further marks and scratches to the sides, also shrinkage splits (pictured). The fall front also has a split to the top (pictured). The antique bureau bookcase remains structurally solid and sound, with the drawers running well. Comes apart in two sections for ease of transport. Complete with working lock and key. Overall, a good example.
