Japanese Meiji (19thC) Lacquer Pipecase (Kiseruzutsu) in muso-zutsu form, made of rattan vertically woven, decorated with an abstract three-branch black ornament amongst prunus blossoms in gold lacquer, the reverse signed with a single character in a rectangular cartouche. The rim and cord attachment loop is gold. Measures 20cm.
