An antique Edwardian sterling silver jewellery box which is rectangular shape in design with a plain body, a hinged lid with stylish hammered effect detailing, a vacant cartouche in the centre and resting on four decorative claw feet. The interior of this box has been nicely fitted to hold rings and other items of jewellery and the inside of the lid has been gilded. This jewellery box would make an interesting addition to a Chester silver collection and would make an ideal gift. The interior lining can be removed from the silver body which is a sign of a well made object. It weighs 7.1 troy ounces (221 grams) without the interior lining.

It was hallmarked in Chester for 1906 by Nathan & Hayes and remains in excellent condition.
