The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The watch has a calibre 18.68Z stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 5,518,954 which dates it back to 1937.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is probably steel and the inside of the front and back covers has the Longines logo together with the EF Co mark for Ernest Francillon, the founder of Longines. The case is in good condition with just the odd small mark, nothing too serious at all.
The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition.
The signed dial has some old damage on number 10 but otherwise looks good with Breguet style hands in a blued steel finish, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
