Puckerings has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
To close and lock away the decanters, the button on the top is pushed down, the flap returning to it's closed position.

The top bar is stamped "Staniforth's Patent" and signed by the silversmith, "Fenton Bros. Sheffield". The base of the frame was engraved with the date "1897", making this a true Victorian example.
The four square liquor decanters are in superb condition, each hand-cut in the ever-popular hobnail design.

A stunning piece in excellent antique condition measuring 14 1/2" x 6 1/4" x 14" tall with each decanter measuring 3 1/4" square x 8 3/4" tall.
