Gents 1950s Junghans Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

Gents 1950s Junghans wrist watch.

The watch has a Junghans calibre 93S 15-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. This in-house calibre was in production from 1954.

The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The main body of the case is gold plated while the signed case back is stainless steel. The case is in good condition with just minor marking, nothing serious at all.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and minute markers. There is a little age related darkening but it has a charming appearance.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a vintage presentation box from Birmingham goldsmiths and jewellers, W A Perry.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
