Metal Cobbler Boot Last. Lacoste Villeneuve-sur-lot.

1900 - 1920
Description

This unusual mechanical cobblers last by Lacoste Villeneuve-Sur-Lot is made of painted cast iron and has a brass shoe form which opens and closes to clamp the shoe in place.

This French heavy industrial boot last has Lacoste cast on one side and Villeneuve-Sur-Lot on the other and is stamped with the number 24 on the top.

The whole piece has an over engineered feel, is very heavy and well made which makes it perfect for a statement piece. The base can be bolted to a table top but stands sound as it is.

Would make a super decorative item for a shoe shop, bar or home decor. Would also make a very nice and unusual door stop.

Weight: 5.5 Kg.

Height: 35 cm (14") approx.

Length: 30 cm (12") approx.

Width: 10 cm (4") approx.

Condition: In good used antique decorative condition with signs of use in keeping with age. A few marks, scuffs and chips leaving a wonderful patina. Cast iron parts have been painted in the past. Wood handle has lots of wear.

Please note that only the metal shoe last is included and any other items in the pictures are for display only.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
