Artisan Antiques has dated this piece to the 1880s.
The spoon's overall proportions are substantial and impressive in hand.

The reverse side of the spoon features a typical late 19th Century Russian enamel design with exquisite floral, foliate and scrolled motifs. The handle is equally embellished with a rich array of colours with a 'twisted' neck section connecting the two.

The rest of the spoon is fully gilt with a beautiful gold tone.
The spoon is hallmarked on the side of the twisted stem with the maker's mark 'BA' and the combined standard and city mark signifying the Moscow region as well as the 84 zolotnik silver standard.

A wonderful collectable piece of fine Imperial Russian silverware ideal for enamel lovers. Due to its large practical size, it would make for an excellent display piece among other fine interior ware and collections of fine antiques.

Please note this listing is for the spoon only and all other items are for display purposes only.
