Pair of bonnet glasses, the ogee bowls with reticulated moulding and petal moulded feet English c1760.
 
Base 5.5 cm.
 
Condition: Very good condition.
 
Note: A very nice pair with crisp moulding.
 
Bonnet glasses were used on the table for dry sweetmeats. Such glasses have been incorrectly termed as monteiths by E. Barringgton Haynes (1941) and consequently referred to as such by later writers.
