Description

This handsome spirit hip flask which has a detachable silver plated cup and hinged flip / bayonet top is marked to the base of the cup with the retailer's marks of Rowell, Oxford and dates from the early 20th century.

The outer of the top half is covered in a beautiful rich brown crocodile effect leather with a sight level to both sides, the bayonet top cap seals well, does not leak and there is no inscription or monogram.

This handsome antique hip flask is a a good size and a wonderful tactile item that would make a very nice usable gift.

Marks: Rowell Oxford. 5.

Dimensions: Width: 10 cm (4"). Depth: 3 cm (1 1/4"). Height: 15 cm (6").

Weight: 384 g.

Condition: Very good used antique condition with signs of light use in keeping with age. Some light surface scratches and marks. The hinged lid closes perfectly with no leaks. The leather and glass is in very sound condition.
