Lincoln Restorations has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
An antique box with character.
We bring to you this excellent original condition Victorian metal deed box made around C1860.
This chest would have originally been used in a solicitors for storing deeds, wills, certificates and any other important paperwork for important clients. This chest is complete with its original brass keyhole escutcheon to front its original warded lock but the item does not lock closed as there is no key. This trunk is completely original with paper label to the front, some rusting, dents and scratches which all shows its history and usage which we feel adds lots of charm and character. We have just cleaned and waxed this trunk to give it a natural sheen and preserve and protect the item for many more years to come.

This chest is an ideal vintage/retro chest for storage or just be used as a room decor/blanket chest or even a small coffee table.
Please note; This item is in very good condition for its age but will obviously have the odd slight blemishes and here and there, however, we feel that this adds to the charm and authenticity of the item with it being antique.

Also note, sale is for the one metal trunk only, however, the others may still be available separately on our shop. Please contact us for a discount if you would like to purchase the others.
