Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Georgian corner cabinets from the late eighteenth century typically feature solid native hardwoods, single panelled doors, dentil or architectural cornices, and brass hardware such as H-hinges. Designed to fit neatly into the ninety-degree join of two walls, they provided practical wall-mounted or floor-standing storage.

These cupboards were predominantly constructed from solid oak, mahogany, or walnut, held together with mortise and tenon joinery and wooden dowels. Accent features included cast brass H-hinges, wrought iron lock mechanisms, and decorative brass keyhole escutcheons.

Authentic period pieces exhibit signs of hand-craftsmanship, such as hand-planed timber surfaces, irregular saw marks on the unseen backboards, original brass H-hinges secured with early slotted screws or rivets, and natural wood shrinkage along panel joins.

Mount the cabinet in an underutilised corner of a dining room, hallway, or kitchen to maximize vertical storage. Modern interiors benefit from the contrast between the deep timber tones and light neutral walls, creating a refined focal point.

Preserve the natural patina by dusting regularly with a soft dry cloth and applying a clear beeswax polish once or twice a year. Keep the item away from direct heat sources and maintain stable indoor humidity to prevent wood warping or splitting.
