Description

Large Louis Philippe walnut and marble top commode chest of drawers c.1840. Standing 58" tall. White marble top with rounded edges and corners with an applied baton at the rear, shaped to match. Over a chest of seven drawers. Slightly slimmer top drawer with a shaped drawer front continued at the sides of the cabinet. Nicely figured drawer fronts in solid walnut. Raised on a slim walnut plinth. Solid walnut sides and drawer linings. Some old wear, otherwise excellent condition and particularly good mellow colour. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
