Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1900s.
~~ original condition throughout ~~
The gilding is genuine and not gold painted as the majority of gilt clocks are.

Very often called an 'industrial clock' as it was made at the turn of the century when cast iron manufacturing flourished.
The white enamel dial is original with only a minute chip which is barely noticeable and certainly does not detract from the piece, the glass is in perfect original condition.

The movement has just been serviced and is keeping good time, but has a small peculiarity in that it strikes twice at one oclock, other than that it is in perfect working order.
It runs for over 8 days between winding and strikes on the hour and half hour on a tuned coiled gong.

The clock movement comes with a full 12 month warranty.
Please be aware this clock is also available for sale in our shop and if there are no bids may be withdrawn.
