The clock has a restored decorative brass dial and 4.5 inch diameter silvered chapter ring with slow-fast mechanism and is another fantastic Winterhalder and Hofmeier eight day ting-tang movement which strikes the quarters, halves and hours on two gongs (one gong at the hour for the full hour). The movement has benefitted from a full overhaul and comes with my three year guarantee as standard. The revived case with a stepped base is in lovely condition standing on original ogee brass feet with original brass urn finials to the front corners of the case and the dial is encased within a solid brass bezel with the original bevelled glass.Winterhalder & Hofmeier were considered the finest clockmakers of the Victorian era and were based in Germany’s Black Forest region.
