Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1880s.

The glass stands on a circular single foot which bears the hallmark on the underside with the makers mark RD & S Ld and EPNS for Electo-Plated Nickel Silver and a Registration date of 1853, this is the date this design would have been registered although the actual date of this piece is probably around 1880, Victorian in era.
The lids are beautifully decorated with an engraved design surrounding a shield-shaped cartouche which could be engraved with initials if desired.

A very impressive and large box, but postage worldwide is included so nothing additional to pay. Excellent condition 11" across x 11 1/2" tall.
