Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Victorian wardrobes are substantial storage pieces crafted during the reign of Queen Victoria, typically constructed from solid mahogany or mahogany veneers. They frequently feature central mirrored doors, decorative architectural pediments, flame mahogany panels, and base drawers for folded linens.

Cabinetmakers during the Victorian period utilized hand-cut dovetail joints, solid mahogany framing, and high-grade timber veneers. Doors often incorporated bevelled glass mirrors and brass mortise locks, while drawer linings were commonly constructed from oak or pine.

Authentic pieces exhibit signs of traditional craftsmanship, such as hand-sawn drawer bottoms, original brass hardware, unrefined backboards, and authentic age marks within the mirror glass or timber finish.

A large mahogany wardrobe functions as a focal anchor piece in modern bedrooms or dressing spaces. Pairing dark wood furniture with neutral wall tones, minimalist lighting, or contemporary textiles creates an intentional contrast between historic structure and contemporary design.

Dust the surface regularly with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Apply a high-quality beeswax polish once or twice a year following the timber grain to preserve the finish, avoiding commercial aerosol sprays containing silicone.
