Description

This is a really rare survivor.

18th Century cut steel hook for attaching to bed drapes to hang a pocket watch on during the night.

On page 225 plate 742 in How The Watch was worn by Genevieve Cummins you will see a few examples of these hooks, one just like this one.

They were sometimes referred to as tapestry hooks.

Super condition and really rare.
