A RARE SIGNED PROOF FIRST COPY OF A HAND COLOURED & FINISHED ETCHING DEPICTING THE

FAMOUS " BRIDGE OF SIGH'S " IN VENICE ITALY.

This example has been tastefully reframed with new double mounts in gold and cream.retaining the original glass.

The picture framers label has been saved on verso,and reads N.TURLEY 35 North Rd.St.Helens.

The Artists Proof Mark is stamped on the etching,and artists signature in pencil,is highlighted in a cut out window seen in the lower central margin.

MEASURES:

Height: 32.5 Inches

Width: 24.5 Inches

A quality and very detailed etching,with a great deal of care in hand colouring,using watercolour paint,and being the first one produced.

Rare today to find a surviving early original proof example of such a popular and well known

landmark for tourists all over the world.
