Edwardian Silver Stamp Case Chester 1903 By Crisford & Norris Ltd

A charming solid silver stamp case in the form of a satchel. The lid of the case is nicely engraved with a border that emulates stitching and pretty engraving around button. The hinge lid opens to allow placement of stamps. When opened, clear hallmarks are visible for the Chester Assay Office with a date mark for 1903 and Lion Passant indicating sterling silver as well as the maker''s marks for the renowned silversmiths: Crisford & Norris. Partial marks are also visible on the inside of the lid. The back of the case is plain polished silver. There is a loop attached to the top.

Condition: In great antique condition (There are some very tiny dings to the case hardly noticeable, however, we mention them for accuracy.)
