Description

A very fine 20 drawer victorian mahogany and satin walnut collectors cabinet circa 1890.

Originally designed for the protection and display of a british insect collection this cabinet lends itself particularly well to being used as a medal cabinet or for other collectables.

The drawers run like silk on hidden bearer runners and all have the original tightly fitting glazed frame tops. There is a hidden universal cell around the inside perimeter of each drawer. All original lock,key, hinges and shoot bolts and the original burgundy velvet dust excluding tape to the carcass frame.

The cabinet travels on six hidden casters fitted underneath the removable plinth.

Altogether a commendable cabinet in superb condition.
