Description

A lovely Georgian ring in rosy nine-carat gold. Set with the typical Georgian combination of almandine garnet and seed pearls, the design is a nice unusual one, calling to mind an eye or two snakes entwined. The reverse of the gem setting is fully enclosed and the garnet is foiled at the back, as was the norm in the 19th century.

The ring is in very good antique condition with normal surface wear for its age; under magnification a little glue is visible around the pearls.
