Set of 4 Antique Mahogany Chippendale Dining Chairs

Description

An excellent set of antique solid mahogany dining chairs in the classic Chippendale style. These were made in England, they date from around the 1880-1900 period.

The quality is superb, the beautiful pierced back rests have very fine carving. They sit on cabriole legs with claw and ball feet, the front edge of the seat base is gadrooned.

We have had these recently re-polished, they are in excellent condition for their age with some old signs of wear here and there beneath the polish. The drop in seats have been newly upholstered in a cream cotton fabric.

Depth – 18 inches , 46 cm

Height – 39 inches , 99 cm

Seat height – 19 inches , 49 cm
