Description

Quality late 19th.c. walnut marble top side cabinet by the acclaimed cabinet makers Schmit of Paris c.1890. Beautifully figured marble top set within a thumb moulded edge. Over two oak lined drawers and a two door cabinet (internal depth 16") above an open potboard display shelf with closed back. Crisply carved detail to the drawer and door fronts with the original elaborate gilded escutcheons. Shaped apron below the cabinet, continued on the sides, with carved scallop detail at the centre. Cabriole legs with carved acanthus leaf detail and scrolling feet. Original maker's label inside on of the drawers. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
