Description

Exquisite Coromandel writing slope with double brass stringing and adorned with beautiful mother of pearl and abalone flowers on the front and top.
The interior features a black gold tooled leather writing surface. The lower half lifts to reveal a storage space. The top half also lifts to reveal a storage space that has a secret! Removing the right hand inkwell allows the bottom of its compartment to be pressed which releases a secret false wall and allows access to three small ribbon handle drawers.
Above the writing, the surface is two brass top glass inkwells, a pen tray and several compartments for storing cards.
This writing box comes with a fully working lock and tasselled key.
