Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 1850s.
The cover topped with a Dog of Phoo and decorated with floral reserves against a lattice ground. The cover spreading to an octagonal down swept rim, decorated with panels of flower heads. The vase with a raised octagonal collar, decorated with alternating panels of flower heads and scrolled leaves, the collar spreading to broad shoulders decorated with alternating reserves filled with birds in a floral undergrowth, whilst the other panels are filled with flowers in full bloom. The body depicting a tea house, within an Oriental garden of exuberant flowers and blossoming trees. The vase tapering to reserves filled with rising flowers, before the circular foot rim.
