Description

An excellent Georgian silver perfume etui, late 18th century circa 1790.

It has a domed hinged top, bright cut decoration to the sides and edges, owners initials to one side, contemporary with the piece.

Marked to base with SP for Sam Pemberton.

It opens and closes well using the push button on the front.

Inside is a small glass scent bottle with stopper, slightly lose fit, so could be associated but it is the right shape and age for the etui.

The bright cutting is in very good order with very little rubbing. There are a few signs of wear to the top and base commensurate with age and use.
