A superb Japanese Meiji period bronze okimono of a recumbent tiger on a naturalistic wood base, finely drawn with excellent detail down to the textured paw on the feline''s upturned hind leg. This beautiful Japanese bronze is double signed on the underside, the stand has had woodworm which has been eradicated and the bronze in excellent condition measuring 13 inches (inc base) in length; the bronze alone weighs 3.9Kg.
