Victorian Ruby Serpent Ring, Circa 1890

Description

The most stunning Victorian snake ring. Crafted in 18k gold, the stunningly etched snake wraps twice around the finger. The head of the snake is set with a cushion shaped pigeon blood red ruby, and hold a small eight-cut diamond in its mouth. A rare and beautiful example of a classic Victorian style.

Cut – Cushion cut ruby and an eight-cut diamond.

Colour – The diamond is G.

Clarity – The ruby is clean to the naked eye. The diamond VS1.

Carat – The ruby is approximately 0.20 carat. The diamond is approximately 0.02 carat.

Circa – 1890.

Size – L (UK) or 5.5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.

Measurements – The ring is 9mm at the widest point. Sits 4.2mm from the finger.

Metal – 18k gold. Tested.
