The jug with a tall neck, a rounded rim, fronted by a tapering spout, the rim decorated with line banding, above the body painted with a scene of two fishermen, at a river bank, amongst trees and a fence, over which fly a flock of birds. The scene held within a scrolled reserve, from which issue flowers, leaves and bull rushes. The body banded in blue line banding, before the waisted socle, and spreading circular foot. The rounded handle with blue dash decoration.
Date circa 1780.
