Poirot Art Deco has dated this piece to the 1930s.
Raymonde was an artist and worked in many media including bronze, ceramics and terracotta. She also worked under the pseudonym Andree Guerval.
In 1919, she initially trained at the dance school in Paris run by Isadora Duncan.
In 1923 to 27 she was exhibiting at the Salon d’Automne.
Many of her bronze and ivory sculptures were made by Les Neeveux de J. Lehmann, Etling, Susie Freres and Max Le Verrier - who produced ‘La Vague’.
Pieces have often been attributed to her husband but those signed Gyerbe or Guerval were in fact the work of this talented woman.
