A rare set of William IV Rosewood chairs.
This set of chairs features a spectacular curved scroll top rail, typical William IV carved centre middle rail, drop in upholstered seat pad and curved side rails raised on turned & fluted forelegs.
These chairs feature their original French polished finish with a deep rich colour and lots of patina which have been sympathetically restored and carefully waxed in our workshop. These chairs have been looked after and cared for as it is very rare to find a set of 6 William IV or even Regency chairs in such good condition. Over time many of these sets get split into smaller sets and we believe from the seat pad numberings that these chairs were in-fact a set of 12 at one point.
These chairs are of the highest quality and are made from all solid heavy Rosewood with a strong design, construction and are completely original with no loose joints or wobbles.
We have freshly reupholstered these chairs in a light brown chenille material so it is in perfect condition, the inner traditional padding is in good order and they are very comfortable seating.
Please note: We can reupholster these chairs in a material of your choice if this material is not to your taste (for obvious added costs) if you enquire.
