Penderyn Antiques has dated this piece to the 17th Century.
The antique oak coffer has a three panel front with decorative carved detail and initials ‘E W’. Raised on four square feet. A rather pleasing example, with good patina and rich colour throughout.

Item Ref; M-4103
DIMENSIONS:
Height – 57.5cm / Width – 110cm / Depth – 46.5cm
CONDITION REPORT:
In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches, stains and shrinkage to the top (pictured), further marks and splits to the front (pictured). There is evidence of historic woodworm, however this is now long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. The antique carved oak coffer remains structurally solid and sound. Overall, an excellent example of a 17th century antique oak coffer.
