~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~
A fine and early Ormolu (mercury fire gilded bronze) antique French clock.
Sitting on its original base with tall scrolling feet allowing the pendulum to be seen gentle swinging.

The dial is also gilt bronze with 12 individual enamel cartouches. It is complete with its original finely cut and blued steel hands and convex glass. The rear bezel is also glazed with convex glass to allow the movement to be seen.

The exquisite French movement is the early miniature version of the Pendule de Paris movement with silk suspension. It is of high quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video of the clock running, please ask and we will send you a link.

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with slight wear and discolouration. The dial is also in excellent condition just some tiny nibbles to the cartouches. The original glass has some slight marks and some original bubbles and imperfections, particularly the rear glass.

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
