A Fine 19th Century Silver Plated Soup Tureen in a Neo Classical Style

Description

A good large silver plated on copper soup tureen. Bearing no makers mark, this piece probably dates to the mid 19th Century. In a Neo-Classical style with stylised scroll handles and a fluted shape. The silver plated soup ladle is a slightly later addition.

The condition is good overall with a tight fitting lid and a very clean interior. There is, however, some copper bleed to the raised edges and handles and a couple of small patches to the body.
