Stunning Victorian Silver & Cut Glass Scent Bottle by William Comyns, London 1892

Description

This gorgeous and rather unusual Victorian silver and cut glass cologne bottle was made by the celebrated William Comyns and is dated London 1892. The square shaped body incised with star patterns. The hinged silver lid embossed with a classical scene and fitted with a push button to the front. The neck fitted with the original cut glass stopper.

Hallmarks:

WC for William Comyns.

London Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "R" for 1892.

Dimensions:

Height: 15cm / 6 inches.

Width: 6cm / 2.4 inches.

Depth: 6cm / 2.4 inches.

Condition:

Very good.
